Scholarship Program at Punjab Education Endowment Fund PEEF

The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) is pleased to announce the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship (CMMS) Program for the 2024-25 intake. This program offers fully funded PhD scholarships to Pakistani nationals who have secured admission in Top 50 QS Ranked (subject-wise) Universities of the world.

Subject Areas:

• Sciences & Medicine
• Engineering & Technology
• Natural Sciences
• Social Sciences / Arts & Humanities

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Valid PhD admission offer from one of the current top 50 QS ranked universities in the world in preferred subject areas.
2. Not less than 60% marks throughout the academic career.
3. Declared monthly family income (including self, spouse, and parents) is equal to or less than Rs. 200,000/-
4. Maximum age of 35 years on 26 April 2024
5. Not availed any foreign scholarship in the past.

6. Must take up the scholarship in the year for which is offered and the scholarship shall not be deferred to the next year.

7. All Pakistani nationals, both males and females are eligible to apply.

How to Apply:

1. Secure admission in current Top 50 QS Ranked (subject-wise) Universities of the world in the preferred subject areas as mentioned above.
2. Download Scholarship application form from https://www.peef.org.pk/cmms
3. Send duly filled application form to PEEF office within due date.

Deadline:    

The last Date for Submission of Applications to the PEEF Office is 26th April 2024.

Scholarship Coverage:

PhD Scholarships awarded under CMMS are fully funded and cover the following costs:

1. 100% Tuition fees

2. Boarding and Lodging (as per approved rates)

3. Health Insurance

4. Airfare

Discipline Wise Allocation of Scholarships:

1. 80 % of scholarships are reserved for Science disciplines.

2.  20% of scholarships are reserved for Social Sciences/Humanities and Arts.

Geographical Distribution of Scholarships:

1. Scholarships have been allocated for the students of Punjab.
2. 10% of scholarships have been allocated for the other federating units of Pakistan.

Other Terms & Conditions:

1. The selected candidates cannot defer the scholarship offer to next year.
2. Permanent/regular faculty members of public sector teaching / educational institutions of Pakistan are not eligible to apply for Chief Minister Merit Scholarship (CMMS) Program.
3. Preference shall be given to the students having Punjab domicile; however, PEEF has also reserved a special quota for other province including AJK, Baltistan (GB), and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
4. To get admission to the University and Apply for a Visa is the responsibility of the applicant.
5. Decision of the CMMS Selection Committee shall be final.
