Punjab Police Special Branch Unit Jobs 2023, Intelligence Operator

Applications are invited from eligible candidates domiciled in all districts of Punjab for the following special posts of Intelligence Operator in the Special Branch of Punjab Police on a three-year contract (renewable) basis on open merit at Punjab level, in which 15% women and 5% minorities quota seats are also included.

The Punjab Police Special Branch Unit has officially declared Intelligence Operator Jobs on December 3, 2023, through a publication in the daily Jhang newspaper. Applications are invited from candidates across the Punjab province, and the online application submission deadline is December 20, 2023. Both males and females who have attained a minimum of intermediate with a second division are eligible to apply for Intelligence Operator positions in 2023.

Application Submission Procedure:

Application forms can be downloaded from the Punjab Police website www.punjabpolice.gov.pk and can be submitted to the concerned Regional Office of the Special Branch along with attested copies (educational certificates, certificates, domicile, identity card and three recent passport size photographs) and a fee of Rs. 500/- (form fee) from 05 December 2023 to 20 December 2023. Other Terms & Conditions:

1. Incomplete, incorrect, or late applications will be rejected. The list of eligible candidates will be uploaded on the Punjab Police website www.punjabpolice.gov.pk and also displayed at the concerned Regional Office of the Special Branch.
2. No individual, organization, or department other than the Special Branch Punjab is authorized to distribute or receive application forms.
3. The appointment will be made at the Punjab level on open merit basis in accordance with the relevant rules, selection criteria, other terms of the recruitment policy and contract policy prevailing at the time.
4. Candidates who want to get additional numbers on the basis of family claim (martyr/disabled/retired/present service) will enclose all the documents related to their claim, such as pension book, copy of retirement order and certificate obtained from the head of the concerned district/unit, with their application.
5. The appointment will be made for the specific posts of the Intelligence Cadre of the Special Branch only, which will be non-transferable to other departments or cadres of the police and Special Branch.
6. Original educational documents and other documents will also be checked at the time of interview and the candidate who does not meet the required educational standards will not be allowed to give an interview.
7. "A physical endurance test (Endurance Test) and a race will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates, about which the concerned Special Branch Regional Office will be informed.
8. Male candidates will have to complete the distance of one mile race in 7 minutes and female candidates will have to complete it in 10 minutes.
9. n case of any objection by the candidates, they can file objections within office hours by appearing before the Endurance Test Review Committee.
10. The lists of candidates who have passed the physical endurance test (Endurance Test) and race will be uploaded on the Punjab Police website and also displayed in the relevant regional office of the Special Branch. The written examination for these candidates will be held at the regional office level, the place, date, and time of which will be informed later.
11. The written examination will consist of the following subjects:
1. General knowledge, basic intelligence, Pakistan affairs, Islamic studies, current affairs, and everyday science
2. Urdu and English language comprehension, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc., computer aptitude/quantitative, including multiple choice questions, computer skills
12. Candidates who pass the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 3:1.
13. Successful candidates in the interview will be called for psychological assessment.
14. The initial appointment will be for a period of three years, which may be extended later on the basis of satisfactory performance and as per rules
15. Government employees should submit applications through official channels.
16. According to government instructions, a quota of 15% for women and 5% for minorities is reserved.
17. The upper age limit will be counted up to the last date of receipt of application and no concession of any kind will be given in the upper age limit. The upper age limit will be strictly followed and no relaxation will be given.
18. No TA/DA will be given for test/interview/psychological test.
19. Recruited candidates can be posted anywhere in the Special Branch Punjab.
20. The decision of the competent authority regarding recruitment will be final and cannot be challenged in any court/forum.
21. Candidates must pass the physical endurance test, written examinations, interview, and psychological test. In case of failure at any stage, the candidate will not be recruited.
22. The department will have the authority to modify or cancel this advertisement.
23. All candidates must submit an affidavit on stamp paper (Rs.100) stating that they are not nominated/involved/wanted in any kind of FIR or case and are not or have never been a member of any banned organization. In case of submitting a false affidavit, the candidate will be declared ineligible for recruitment to the Special Branch Police and legal proceedings will be initiated.
24. If, at any stage of the recruitment process, the educational documents, domicile, national identity card, character certificate, and medical certificate, etc. of the candidate are found to be fake or unverified, the recruitment of the candidate will be cancelled and legal proceedings will be initiated.
25. The department reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies at any stage.
26. Prior approval has been obtained from the Election Commission of Pakistan for this recruitment.
