- Prerequisite Conditions:
- Age Upto 28 Years as on 1 May 2024 (Civilian)
- Marital Status: Married / Unmarried
- Gender: Male
- Minimum Hight: 5 feet 4 inch (162.5 cm)
- Body Weight: As per body mass index
- Citizens of Pakistan and Domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan. Upon final selection, candidates with dual nationality will have to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani.
- Commission Wise Educational Eligibility:

- MA/MSc/BS (4 years), minimum 16 years education in following disciplines:-

- Law Officers (Judge Advocate General Br)
- LLB Qualified - A practicing member of Bar with minimum two years of experience
- Corps of Remount Veterinary and Farms Officer (RV&FC)
- DVM or equivalent degree Registered with PVMC
- MSc (Hons)/ M Phil (in relevant disciplines) will be given preference
- Age Upto 35 Years as on 1 May 2024 (for Serving VASs of RV&FC)
- Psychologist
- M.Sc Psychology
- Financial Management Stream Officers (Male)
- MBA/ MS - Finance (18 years of education)
- MS - Economics (18 years of education)
- Prerequisite in Educational Eligibility:
- Minimum 60% marks in annual system or 2.5 CGPA in science subjects and 50% marks or 2.0 CGPA in Arts subjects from HEC recognized university as a regular student.
- Minimum CGPA 2 out of 4 or 50% marks in annual system for Law Officers & Psychology.
- No 3rd Division or Grade D and only one 2nd Division/ Grade C throughout the academic career i.e Matric to MA/MSc/BS.
- MPhil/ MS/ PhD will be given preference.
- Candidates only graduated from HEC recognized universities or foreign universities recognized by HEC are eligible.
- Candidates must have attained the entire education (Matric till MA/ MSc/ BS) as a regular students
In-Eligibility Conditions
The following conditions render an individual ineligible for consideration:
- A candidate who has received the "NOT RECOMMENDED" status twice by the Inter Service Selection Board for courses at the Pakistan Military Academy or equivalent courses in the Naval/Pakistan Air Force is ineligible. However, a third chance is granted for appearing for commission in AEC.
- Individuals who have been permanently declared unfit by the Appeal Medical Board are ineligible.
- Candidates declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C are ineligible, and no appeal can be made to the Medical Board.
- Candidates declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital are ineligible unless cleared by the Appeal Medical Board.
- Pakistan Air Force candidates medically unfit for flying but fit for ground branches can undergo routine medical examination if they wish to join other arms.
- Candidates who have been tested within a four-month (120 days) gap of their previous appearance in the Inter Service Selection Board are ineligible, unless granted a waiver by the Director General Personnel Administration. This restriction does not apply to candidates appearing in post Graduate General Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters based selection boards.
- Individuals who have withdrawn from any Academy/Training Institution of the Armed Forces on any ground are ineligible.
- Those who have withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college or institution on disciplinary grounds are ineligible.
- Individuals who have been dismissed, removed, or debarred from Government Services, including the Armed Forces, are ineligible.
- Candidates who have been convicted in a court of law in criminal proceedings are ineligible.
Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure:-
The registration and preliminary selection procedure for candidates interested in joining the Pakistan Army is as follows:
Registration through Internet:
Candidates have the option to register either through the internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs). To register online, candidates can visit the official website www.joinpakistanarmy.gov.pk. The date and time of the test will be communicated online, and candidates need to have a valid email account. On the specified date and time, candidates must report for the preliminary test with the computerized roll number slip. Once the date is assigned, it cannot be changed. Candidates should bring all required documents as mentioned in the advertisement and pay the prospectus fee on the day of the test. It is essential for candidates to have a working knowledge of computers, as registration and tests will be conducted electronically.
Registration at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres:
Alternatively, candidates can register by visiting the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centres. During this process, candidates will be allotted a roll number, and they must submit the necessary documents as specified in the advertisement. The prospectus fee is also payable during this registration. All required documents and fees must be brought on the day of the test.
Academics/Intelligence Tests:
Academics and intelligence tests, based on multiple-choice questions, will be conducted at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres on the date specified during the registration process. These tests aim to assess the candidate's academic and intellectual capabilities.
Preliminary Medical Tests:
Candidates will undergo initial medical tests at AS&RCs to assess their medical fitness for the military service.
Physical Tests:
Candidates must meet specific physical standards during the preliminary selection process. The physical tests include:
16 Km Run in 9 minutes
10 Push Ups in 2 minutes
10 Sit Ups in 2 minutes
2 Chin Ups in 2 minutes
Candidates must successfully complete these physical tests to qualify for further consideration in the selection process.
Further Selection Procedure
The further selection procedure for candidates recommended by the Inter Services Selection Board is outlined as follows:
Detailed Medical Examination:
Candidates recommended by the Inter Services Selection Board will undergo a comprehensive medical examination at nearby Combined Military Hospitals (CMH). This detailed examination aims to thoroughly assess the health and fitness of the candidates.
Interview by General Headquarters Selection Board:
Those candidates who successfully pass the medical
examination will be called for an interview by the General Headquarters (GHQ)
Selection Board. This interview is a crucial step in the selection process and
provides an opportunity for a more in-depth evaluation of the candidates.
Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance:
It is important to note that no Traveling Allowance (TA) or
Daily Allowance (DA) is admissible for candidates during this phase of the
selection process. Candidates are expected to bear their own expenses for the
interview.
Final Selection at General Headquarters (GHQ):
The final selection of candidates will be made at the
General Headquarters (GHQ) based on their overall performance throughout the
selection process. This includes their performance in the initial tests,
academics/intelligence tests, preliminary medical tests, physical tests, as
well as the detailed medical examination and interview stages.
Military Training at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul:
Candidates who successfully pass all stages of the selection
process will undergo military training for a duration of six months at the
prestigious Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul. This training is designed to
prepare candidates for their roles and responsibilities within the Pakistan
Army.
The entire selection process is aimed at ensuring that
candidates meet the rigorous standards set by the military for fitness, health,
and overall suitability for service in the armed forces.
Documents Required
Candidates are required to submit the following documents at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs) during the application process:
Original Certificates/Detailed Marks Sheets:
Original certificates/detailed marks sheets of each
educational certificate/degree/diploma, along with two attested photocopies of
each.
No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Government Employees:
Candidates currently serving in government
institutions/departments must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the
concerned establishment.
Attested Photocopy of Domicile:
An attested photocopy of the domicile is required.
Photocopies of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC):
Photocopies of the computerized national identity card along
with the verification slip obtained from the National Database and Registration
Authority (NADRA) are necessary.
Colored Photos:
Six colored photos, duly attested on both the front and
back.
Degrees Verified by HEC/PEC & PVMC:
Candidates must bring their degrees duly verified by the
Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), and
Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC).
Endorsement of Application Forms:
While filling out the application forms at Army Selection
and Recruitment Centers, successful candidates must ensure that all information
is correctly endorsed in the respective paragraphs/columns, and no column
should be left blank.
Note on National Identity Card:
It's important to note that expired National Identity Cards
will not be accepted. Only valid and current CNICs will be considered during
the application process.
Ensuring the submission of these documents is crucial for
the completion of the application process, and candidates should carefully

Additional Information:
Bond Requirement:
Candidates who are finally selected for service in the Army
will be required to sign a bond committing to serve in the military for a
minimum period of 7 years. The bond's applicability will commence upon the
successful completion of basic military training at Pakistan Military Academy
Kakul.
This bond serves as a commitment from the selected
candidates to dedicate a significant portion of their professional career to
serving in the Pakistan Army. It underscores the long-term commitment expected
