As per 08-12-2023 (Jung News Paper)! The Azad Kashmir Police Department is recruiting Constables (BPS-7) and Stenographers (BPS-14), based on pure merit. Applications are invited from eligible male and female (5% quota) candidates, against district quota including residents of Azad Kashmir, and Refugees residing in Pakistan since 1947 and Refugees from Azad Kashmir since 1989. Applicants must meet educational & age eligibility criteria for Constables and Stenographers. The deadline for applications is January 1, 2024

- Chest: Minimum 33 inches and 34 1/2 inches with spread - Only for male candidates
- Height: Minimum 5 feet 7 inches for male candidates and 5 feet 2 inches for female candidates
- Running: 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) in 7 minutes for male candidates and 1 kilometer in 9 minutes for female candidates

The advertised posts include the unfilled posts of the quotas of the districts (Bagh=6, Kotli=36, Mirpur=28, Bhimber=30, Refugees of 1947 residing in Pakistan=71) in the recruitment of 2022.
Application Procedure:
- To apply, interested candidates should visit the NTS website www.nts.org.pk, download the offline form, fill it out completely, and submit it along with the original fee challan (NTS copy), two passport-size photographs (recent), a copy of the national identity card, and a copy of the domicile, to the address NTS Headquarters (AJK Police Project), Plot No. 96, Street No.4, Sector H-18/1, Islamabad.
- The fee for the written test is Rs. 660/-, which can be paid at any branch of the bank mentioned on the challan form. Only complete offline applications will be accepted. Handwritten applications (simple applications) will not be accepted.
- Incomplete applications, applications submitted in violation of the given instructions, and manually submitted applications will not be accepted.

Instructions for Constable:
- Candidates will have to clear four stages of the recruitment process (written test, physical test, psychological test, and interview). Failure in any of the stages will disqualify the candidate for the next stage.
- The written test will consist of two parts (MCQ and Descriptive). The Descriptive test will be on Urdu and English subjects, while the objective test (MCQ) will be on Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Urdu, General Knowledge, and English.
- To be successful, candidates must obtain at least 40% marks overall (aggregate) and at least 40% marks individually in each of the three subjects (Urdu, English, and General Knowledge).
- The physical test of the candidates who are successful in the written test will be conducted as per the standards.
- Candidates must bring their own joggers and water bottles for the physical test.
- The candidates who are successful in the physical test will have a Psychological Assessment before the interview, after which the successful candidates will be interviewed by a departmental board.
Instructions for Stenographer:
- The written test will consist of MCQ questions on Islamic Studies/Ethics, Pakistan Studies, Urdu, General Knowledge, and English/IQ, Computer Record Keeping.
- Applicants must obtain at least 40% marks individually and overall in each subject.
- Applicants must pass both Urdu and English typing tests at the designated speed.
- Only applicants who pass the written test and the Urdu/English typing tests will be called for an interview.
Additional Tips:
- For the Written Test:
- Prepare thoroughly for all subjects covered in the test. This means reading textbooks, taking practice tests, and reviewing notes.
- Practice solving sample test questions. This will help you get used to the format of the test and the types of questions that will be asked.
- Get adequate rest and relaxation before the test. This will help you stay focused and avoid making careless mistakes.
- For the Typing Test:
- Practice improving your typing speed. There are many online typing tutorials and exercises that can help you improve your speed.
- Practice typing at the designated speed. Set a timer and see how many words you can type in a minute.
- Focus on minimizing errors. Even if you are not able to type at the designated speed, you can still be successful if you make few errors.
- For the Interview:
- Dress professionally for the interview. This will make a good impression on the interview panel.
- Prepare for the interview in advance. Think about what questions you might be asked and practice your answers.
- Answer interview questions clearly and comprehensively. Be sure to answer all of the questions asked, and provide complete and informative answers.
General Instructions:
- After the interview, the selected candidates will be required to undergo a complete medical examination by a medical board. Failure to pass the medical examination will result in disqualification of the candidates.
- Background checks will be conducted on the selected candidates. Any kind of unsatisfactory conduct or criminal record will result in the cancellation of the selection.
- Original documents will be verified against the information provided in the application form. If any kind of false/misleading information is found at any stage, the candidates (even if they have been appointed) will be dismissed on the basis of providing false/misleading information and further legal action will also be taken against them.
- All candidates are required to keep their contact numbers (mobile) on. Information related to the recruitment process will be provided to them on their contact numbers and candidates are required to provide their mobile number which has a stable network so that the message is delivered reliably.
- Candidates appearing for the recruitment will not be entitled to TA/DA.
- Candidates are required to bring all relevant original documents at the time of the interview.
- The number of vacancies may vary.
- Refugees residing in Pakistan 1947 are required to choose their nearest district (Azad Kashmir) for participation in the written/physical examination.
- Refugees 1989 are required to choose their domicile district for participation in the written/physical examination.
