The Pakistan Army is inviting applications for the position of Engineering Officer through the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) for the Aeronautical 25 Course. Eligible candidates, male applicants aged up to 28 years as of May 1, 2025, with a minimum of 16 years of education in Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, can apply. The selection process involves registration, academic and intelligence tests, physical fitness assessments, and interviews at the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB). Candidates selected for the final training will undergo military training for six months at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul. Eligibility Criteria

• Age: Up to 28 years (as of May 1, 2025)
• Marital Status: Married/Unmarried
• Gender: Male
• Minimum Height: 5'4'' (162.5 cm)
• Weight: As per BMI

Required Qualifications

BSc/BE/BS (4 years) with a minimum of 16 years of education in:

• Aerospace Engineering
• Avionics Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Academic prerequisites include:

• At least 62.5% marks in the annual system or 2.5 CGPA out of 4.0.
• No grade D, with only one grade C allowed throughout the academic career.
• Degrees must be HEC/PEC recognized, with equivalence certificates for foreign qualifications.
• Candidates with 2-3 years of work experience will be given preference.

Physical and Preliminary Tests

• 1.6 km run: 9 minutes
• Push-ups: 10 repetitions in 2 minutes
• Sit-ups: 10 repetitions in 2 minutes
• Chin-ups: 2 repetitions in 2 minutes

Selection Process

1. Online Registration: Apply through www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.
2. Tests: Academics, intelligence, and physical tests will be conducted at Army Selection & Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs).
3. Medical Examination: At AS&RCs and later at Combined Military Hospitals for shortlisted candidates.
4. Final Selection: Based on performance in ISSB, General Headquarters interviews, and medical examinations.

Training & Bond

• Military Training: 6 months at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.
• Bond Agreement: Serve the Army for at least 7 years.

Documents Required

• Original and attested photocopies of all academic certificates and degrees.
• NADRA-verified CNIC and domicile.
• Attested photographs and NOC (if employed in government institutions).
• Degrees must be verified by HEC/PEC before submission.
